I had been experiencing shoulder pain for several weeks with no relief. I came in, and Breanna was so helpful and the treatment worked immediately. I began feeling relief right away. After several sessions, the pain was gone. I felt like I was educated on what the machine was doing, and definitely experienced great results.

Breana was phenomenal and extraordinarily patient. She explained the procedures, why she wanted to work certain areas, etc and made sure the treatments were tolerable and working. Her follow up is amazing and as we enter the 6th week post treatment, knees aren’t hurting and off season training has been a lot less painful with greater range of motion.

Doctors these days really stink. Prescriptions or surgery. What about the in between? I’m 45 and my ankle started to develop a sharp nerve like zap. Over 6 weeks it grew until it felt like it wrapped around my ankle. Podiatrist and a horrible X-ray could tell anything. I couldn’t walk on stairs. The first few seconds of standing up. ZOINK! I came in here skeptical that anything could take away this pain. The machine is legit and can really hurt! It’s how you know it works! 😉 but after 5 sessions so far, it’s 80% gone. You feel it chipping away at the scar tissue and damage. Each session they increase the power and each time it hurts less. On my 4th session I got to max power of 16. First session I was at a 3. Such a unique feeling. Give it a shot! It works!

The treatment at One Wellness was SO helpful! My pain started going down after the very first treatment. I used it alongside physical therapy and it really accelerated my healing. Thank you, Breana!

Before I started treatment last Summer, I had a lot of back pain, especially when sitting, but also back fatigue and a chin splint feeling in both legs. I also have a very tight psoas muscle which causes back pain. An MRI performed by a spinal pain specialist showed two herniated discs in my lower back. After the acousana treatment, the back fatigue and chin splint feeling is gone. I still have some pain when sitting, but not much, and I’m hoping that will be completely gone within in another 6 weeks or so. I continue some stretches to relax the psoas muscle. I’m very satisfied with the treatment from One Wellness. They are knowledgeable and understanding. Breana was the specialist that usually helped me, and she was professional, friendly, and empathetic. She always knew what to do and had suggestions to help me stretch the psoas more.

This place is amazing for any type of therapeutic treatment. They’ve really helped me get back my years far as athletics goes. I couldn’t walk, run, or jump while playing sports because of previous injuries. Being in pain for years took a hit on my life and career. Now being pain free and off prescription medication has been a blessing in my life because of One Wellness. I’m able to perform at the highest level again while playing sports and I’m very ecstatic. I’d recommend this place to anyone who’s dealing with pain of some sort. They’re great to work with and really knows how to take care of their clients. Thank y’all so much One Wellness.

I’m so thankful I ran into an add on Facebook for One Wellness. After getting a very bad sprained ankle back in April I could not get rid of the pain. I did everything right according to the doctors and they just kept telling me that the pain was normal even after 6 months of consistent PT and even a round of strong anti-inflammatories. As a high level dancer I was frustrated and even considered doing expensive and invasive treatments. However I found an ad for Acousana therapy and I decided to give it a try. It was a fourth of the price of the other treatments I had been doing research on and it didn’t required me to stop dancing or walking. I have done 4 treatments now and I can say it is a night and day difference. My pain is 80% gone. I can dance long hours and my foot is not in so much pain after every dance practice I have. I would recommend One well ess to any one that is looking to gain back their ability to move without pain!

What kind of testing does functional medicine involve?2023-03-09T19:27:22-07:00

We take a comprehensive approach to evaluating your health by conducting an in-depth health history, performing a range of laboratory tests including samples of saliva, blood, urine, hair, skin, stool, and more, and conducting a thorough physical examination. Our advanced testing methods also allow us to assess your autonomic nervous system, cardiovascular health, physical function, brain function, body composition, and more.

What is functional medicine and how is it different from conventional medicine?2023-03-09T19:22:28-07:00

Functional Medicine prioritizes treating the individual as a whole, not just the disease. This approach involves a comprehensive evaluation of your health history, lab results, and physical examination to identify the underlying causes of health problems. A personalized treatment plan is created and continuously adjusted to guide you towards optimum wellness. Our approach encompasses dietary modifications, physical activity, lifestyle changes, hormone therapy, supplementation, and medication as needed.

How does functional medicine support the body’s natural healing processes?2023-03-09T19:28:18-07:00

Functional medicine supports the body’s natural healing processes by identifying and addressing the underlying causes of disease, rather than just treating symptoms.

At One Wellness, we take into account the complexity of the human body and recognize that health is not simply the absence of disease, but rather a state of optimal function and well-being. To achieve this state, we focus on identifying and addressing the root causes of disease and restoring the body’s natural balance.

The following are some of the ways that functional medicine supports the body’s natural healing processes:

  1. Identifying and addressing nutrient deficiencies: A functional medicine approach considers the role of essential vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients in maintaining health and supports the body’s natural healing processes by replenishing these vital nutrients through diet and supplementation.
  2. Reducing inflammation: Inflammation is a natural response to injury or infection, but chronic inflammation can lead to a host of health problems. We use a variety of techniques, such as dietary changes, supplementation, and lifestyle modifications, to reduce inflammation and support the body’s natural healing processes.
  3. Balancing hormones: Hormonal imbalances can lead to a range of health problems, including fatigue, mood changes, and weight gain. We evaluate and address imbalances in hormones, such as cortisol, estrogen, and testosterone, to support the body’s natural healing processes.
  4. Improving gut health: A healthy gut microbiome is critical for overall health and well-being. We address imbalances in gut bacteria and support the body’s natural healing processes by using dietary changes, probiotics, and other treatments to improve gut health.
  5. Reducing stress: Chronic stress can weaken the immune system and lead to a range of health problems. We use stress-management techniques, such as mindfulness, meditation, and exercise, to support the body’s natural healing processes.
How does functional medicine integrate conventional and complementary medicine?2023-03-09T19:24:11-07:00

Functional Medicine integrates conventional and complementary medicine by combining the best of both approaches to address the underlying causes of disease and chronic illness and promote optimal health. It recognizes the importance of conventional medical practices, such as diagnosing and treating acute illnesses, and incorporates evidence-based complementary therapies, such as nutrition, lifestyle modification, and stress management. This approach takes into account your unique circumstances, including genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors, to create a personalized treatment plan that addresses the root cause of the condition and promotes overall health and well-being. The aim of functional medicine is to address the complex interplay of factors that contribute to chronic illness and to empower you to take an active role in your own health and healing.

How does functional medicine evaluate and treat the root cause of a health issue?2023-03-09T19:23:26-07:00

We take a thorough approach to evaluating your health through a comprehensive health history, extensive lab tests, and physical examination. Our goal is to uncover the underlying causes of dysfunction in the body and determine the root cause of your condition.

How does functional medicine evaluate and address imbalances in gut health?2023-03-09T19:25:22-07:00

At One Wellness, we take a comprehensive approach to evaluating and addressing imbalances in the gut. The gut is recognized as an integral part of overall health and wellness, and imbalances in the gut microbiome can contribute to a wide range of health issues, including digestive problems, autoimmune diseases, mood disorders, and more.

In order to evaluate imbalances in the gut, we use a combination of techniques, including:

  1. Comprehensive health history: A thorough evaluation of the your symptoms, dietary habits, and lifestyle to determine any factors that may be contributing to gut imbalances.
  2. Lab tests: Blood tests, stool tests, and other lab assessments to evaluate the health of the gut microbiome and identify any deficiencies or imbalances.
  3. Physical examination: An assessment of the abdomen and digestive system to identify any physical signs of gut imbalances, such as bloating, abdominal pain, or discomfort.

Based on this evaluation, we will create a personalized treatment plan with you that addresses your unique needs and supports the body’s natural healing processes.

How does functional medicine consider a patient’s lifestyle and environmental factors in their treatment plan?2023-03-09T19:23:47-07:00

The various aspects of our daily life, including lifestyle, environment, stress levels, exposure to toxins, diet, physical activity, and emotions, can significantly impact our physical health. When determining the root cause of a disease, we examine these factors to understand their effect on your health. Based on this evaluation, we may suggest appropriate modifications to improve overall wellness.

How does functional medicine approach nutrition and dietary changes?2023-03-09T19:24:33-07:00

Functional Medicine takes a holistic approach to nutrition and dietary changes. Instead of simply focusing on reducing caloric intake or avoiding certain foods, the goal is to understand your individual nutritional needs and address any imbalances or deficiencies. This approach considers your age, health status, lifestyle, cultural background, and personal preferences to determine the most appropriate dietary modifications. We recognize the importance of nutrient-dense, whole foods and may suggest dietary changes, such as increasing the consumption of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats, to improve overall health and support the body’s natural healing processes. We will also consider the role of food sensitivities and allergies in contributing to chronic illness and may recommend elimination diets or other interventions to identify and address these issues. In addition to making dietary changes, we  may also recommend specific nutrient supplementation based on your unique needs and health status. The goal is to support the body’s natural healing processes, reduce inflammation, and promote optimal health and wellness.

How does functional medicine approach chronic diseases and conditions?2023-03-09T19:23:00-07:00

Chronic diseases and conditions result from disruptions in various bodily processes such as neural, hormonal, physical, and emotional. To determine the root cause, we conduct a thorough evaluation of your health history, lab results, and physical condition. Our aim is to reverse the chronic disease or conditions using a multi-faceted approach that incorporates diet, exercise, lifestyle modifications, supplementation, hormone therapy, and medication as needed. In cases where complete reversal may not be possible, we strive to improve your health and well-being to the greatest extent possible.

Can functional medicine help with mental and emotional health concerns?2023-09-26T17:52:17-06:00

Yes, functional medicine can help with mental and emotional health concerns. The functional medicine approach recognizes that mental and emotional health are interconnected with physical health and considers the impact of psychological and social factors on overall health and wellness.

The gut is known as the second brain, and can influence our moods and emotions.  Toxins can disturb our neurotransmitters.  In functional medicine we can look at your neurotransmitters and other biochemistry to see how it is affecting your mood.  We can then set up a treatment plan to improve your emotional health.

At One Wellness, we use a holistic approach to evaluate the underlying causes of mental and emotional health issues, including nutrient imbalances, chronic inflammation, hormonal imbalances, and more. By addressing these root causes, we aim to support the body’s natural healing processes and promote optimal mental and emotional health.

In addressing mental and emotional health concerns, we may use a combination of therapies, including:

  1. Nutrient therapy: Supplementation with essential nutrients, such as omega-3 fatty acids, B-vitamins, and magnesium, to support brain function and improve mood.
  2. Lifestyle changes: Recommendations for physical activity, stress management, and sleep hygiene to improve mental and emotional health.
  3. Functional medicine testing: Assessments, such as saliva hormone testing and food sensitivity testing, to identify any imbalances or sensitivities that may be contributing to mental and emotional health concerns.
  4. Mind-body therapies: Techniques, such as mindfulness, meditation, and therapy, to support mental and emotional health and improve overall well-being.

We will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses your unique needs and supports your journey to optimal mental and emotional health.
