Michelle is a dental hygienist who suffered from neck pain largely brought on from her job. She would experience extreme tightness in her neck and shoulders that then turned into headaches and migraines. In an attempt to resolve her pain, Michelle frequently visited a chiropractor for adjustments which would temporarily reduce the pain she experienced but after a while, the pain would return. Michelle noticed that the amount of time in between adjustments was getting shorter and shorter which made her realize that she needed to do something to resolve the underlying problem.
Michelle’s Treatment Experience
After Michelle’s first treatment, her headaches and migraines completely diminished. During treatment, we identified the majority of the inflammation originating from Michelle’s right shoulder. Like in many cases, the discomfort that Michelle was experiencing in her neck was being referred from the damage and inflammation in her shoulder. With each treatment, Michelle experienced less pain and more mobility.
While treating Michelle’s shoulder on her final visit she states, “that has always been like my worst spot and now there’s nothing.” Six weeks following her last Acousana treatment Michelle reports that by this point in time, she would have already been back to the chiropractor to deal with her headaches but she hasn’t had any signs or symptoms of a headache or migraine.
